I do not have the benefit of the teachings of the proper Anishinaabe way to honor a relative who has passed into the Spirit world. However, knowing that this is a way to bring peace, I paused my day to honor the passing of this relative. My prayer was simple. I am humbled and stronger for having spent even a few minutes acknowledging this life and the passing.
