In a crazy world, what do we magnify….?

Under a full moon, with a nice dram o’scotch and a yummy cigar…listening to the band that activated and helped articulate my activism, hubby and I take the time to ground and center ourselves.

What is the law? What good is it against the crassness of capitalism? If the law is crafted with the sole purpose of furthering the crassness of capitalism? What do we sacrifice, willingly or blindly, to make that silver? To build a hoard of gold?

I’m no anarchist. Though I do carry the heart and soul of rebel and punk….not punk/rebel for the sake of being so…but to bring more heart and authenticity into the world. To question the status quo, in the spirit of Vine and Wilma and Billy. To take to heart the lessons of Mary, Queen of Scots diplomacy and martyrdom. To give heart and meaning to Christ’s lessons.

Trudell’s words inspire thought as do Winona’s and Frank’s. Not for naught. For even a little, minuscule shift might lead to monumental change…a magnificent change.
