tonight i write for me

I’ve been busy writing about local issues, environmental and local government stuff.

Life goes by quickly.

Days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months and then you realize that another year is almost over. Faces change. Relationships evolve and, sometimes, dissolve.
Heart strings dance together,  producing unbelievably beautiful knots.

For the constant joys, I am eternally grateful.

Hearing my husband snore as he is sleeping next to me. His lunchtime phone calls.
The sound of my kids’ voices, especially their laughter.
Calls and messages from friends.
Waking up to the sound of rain.
The beauty of an eagle family riding the thermals.
The sun shining on a placid body of water.

Tomorrow is another day.  For gratitude and joy.
