“Breathe” I whisper to my soul. “Om Shanti Om” runs through my mind, as many times as I can stay focused on it. The effort is to keep the anxiety in check. Attempting to maintain my bearings in a world on fire. Trying to not inhale too much of the smoke and struggling to see through the inflamed orange-ish hue, burning my eyes and my throat.
I sense the ancestors and my Holy Guardian Angel in the room, but the immediacy of the world being on fire distracts me from their influence, so I have to keep reminding myself to breathe and recite.
The vitriol that has been unleashed on the earth is transforming everything we have known and believed in, showing the true material of the false foundation we have built a world upon, dissolving what is false to fact. And it has sparked a fire that rages unabated.
I am coming to realize that the micro and the macro are being revealed, but we are caught up in one or the other, rendering ourselves unable to build the bridge to seeing or understanding the symbiosis, the cause and consequence, and therefore are unable to determine the remedy.
To many of us, the remedy seems always just out of reach. If only…this person would wake up, or that person would apologize, or we could break down the system and ….. it’s always so close and yet millions of miles away.
How do we build the bridge of understanding between the micro and the macro so that we can truly evolve, rather than continually revolve around the ignorance that has permeated the false to fact foundation that modern society is built on?
Critical thought, in a good way.
This isn’t just about one man being considered for a position in which he will impose judgement upon matters that then affect the whole of the land, for decades. This isn’t even about one group of MEN.
If we look at history, and seek to truly unravel how societies have been usurped, overthrown, brought under submission…and if we further determine to look with a critical eye and an open mind, I believe what we would see is a single thread running through history – the belief of supremacy over others.
Not just white supremacy. Not just male supremacy. Those judgments are arrived at too easily. That’s not to say that the majority of supremacists are not white nor male but I believe that if we stop at those points on the stalk, we don’t get to the root and the root will continue to send up shoots of trouble to complicate our lives.
I am metaphorically at the edge of a precipice with this realization. The realization of how prominent and ingrained into our society it is – including the realization of how prominent and ingrained it is into MY being. My ancestors and my Holy Guardian Angel insist that I persist.
“Don’t stop here. Breathe. Whisper Miigwech, again and again. Whisper the Om Shanti Om as often as necessary till your heart reconnects back to your higher self and your roots in the core of the planet.”
I have heard people say that white supremacy is a mental illness. While I understand where that statement comes from, it, too, stops short of defining the problem. Instead of white supremacy, let’s pick out the word Supremacy. Instead of mental, let’s use soul. Instead off illness, what if we used imbalance. Supremacy is the imbalance of the soul.
When one believes that they are superior to another. When one believes that they are superior to the Creator and therefore, all that has come to be as a result of Creation.
Supremacy is an imbalance of the soul whereby one seeks to subjugate another.
In alchemy, there is an ontological approach using the Latin phrase “Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem” which translates “Visit the interior of the earth, and by rectifying, you will discover the hidden stone.” With this phrase, those who would sincerely desire to change the world in which they live, are encouraged to dig deep inside themselves (the earth), and purify the essences of the problem (rectify) to discover the core problem (hidden stone).
In alchemy, also, there is a phrase “As above, so below”.
We are being given an opportunity to change, in profound and lasting ways, the way we see and interact with each other. To truly evolve. But we must first build the bridge to understanding the correlation of micro to macro, not as separate, but as intertwined. Here is where we can truly evolve, rather than continually revolve around the ignorance that has permeated the false to fact foundation that modern society is built on.
What we are seeing is a gift – the vitriol we see exhibited in the faces of those who hold to their belief in their supremacy – is a gift of V.I.T.R.I.O.L. “Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem” – “Visit the interior of the earth, and by rectifying, you will discover the hidden stone.”
Let their vitriol dissolve the veneer of a false foundation of democracy. We deserve the truest foundation upon which this earth was created – respectful, egalitarian, equal and teeming with a humility based in a firm grasp of sovereignty, not supremacy.
